Rescheduling your party
We know plans change — and we'd much rather reschedule than cancel. Here's our rescheduling policy:
Cancelling your party
If you need to cancel your booking entirely:

Notice periods are calculated from the time we receive your written cancellation or reschedule request — not from the time you decided to cancel. Please contact us as soon as you know.
UNFORESEEN EVENTS
Illness & last-minute changes
We take children's health seriously — and we know that illness can strike without warning. Here's how we handle illness-related cancellations:
Birthday child is unwell
Please contact us as early as possible. We'll always try to find a reschedule option and will apply our rescheduling policy rather than cancellation policy wherever possible.
Guests are unwell
If a significant number of guests are unable to attend due to illness, contact us and we'll discuss options — including rescheduling or adjusting guest numbers.
Scriblz host is unwell
In the rare event that your assigned host is unwell, we will arrange a replacement host wherever possible. If we are unable to staff the party, you will receive a full reschedule at no cost or a full refund.
⚠️Please do not host a party if anyone in your household has a contagious illness. The safety of all guests and our hosts is important — we would always rather reschedule than put anyone at risk.
Weather & outdoor parties
For outdoor parties, weather is always a consideration. Here's how we handle it:
Extreme heat (above 38°C)
We do not operate outdoors in extreme heat. If your party is outdoors and forecast temperatures exceed 38°C, we will contact you to discuss moving indoors or rescheduling. No cancellation fee applies.
Rain & inclement weather
If your outdoor party is affected by rain, a suitable indoor backup space must be available.
If no indoor space is available and the party cannot proceed, a free reschedule will be offered.
Severe weather events
In the event of a severe weather warning, storm or other weather emergency, Scriblz reserves the right to cancel or reschedule at no cost to the client.
